The vehicle generally needs to be paid for and released according to the facility’s rules. Prepare the buyer or member information, lot or stock number, VIN, release documents, and the exact pickup location.
Some facilities require advance transporter details or specific release steps. The buyer remains responsible for confirming the auction’s current requirements and any outstanding charges.
Why do lot hours and storage deadlines matter?
Auction gates operate on their own schedules and may stop releasing vehicles before the public closing time. Storage fees or pickup deadlines may continue while a carrier is being coordinated.
Share the final eligible pickup date and facility hours, but do not treat a requested date as guaranteed. Carrier availability, route, release status, and lot access all have to align.
How should the vehicle condition be described?
Auction labels and photos may not show whether the vehicle starts, rolls, steers, brakes, has keys, or has loose collision parts. Confirm as much as the facility allows before transport is arranged.
Unknown or incorrect condition details can result in the wrong equipment arriving. If operability cannot be confirmed, say that clearly so the request is reviewed conservatively.
What pickup-access details does the carrier need?
Provide the gate address, transporter entrance, release contact, lot number, vehicle location, and any facility loading rules you received. Confirm whether onsite loading assistance exists instead of assuming it will be available.
